At a time when the world’s largest coral system, the Great Barrier Reef, is in danger, Australians are extremely sensitive to pollution and their health. In this country, many articles focus on pollution in cities and in homes, and healthy and chemical-free products have a future here.
It is not uncommon to read articles on the Internet alerting about polluted air in Sydney due to controlled fires initiated to prevent fire risks. The smoke issued by these guided burnings spreads throughout the city, making the air unbreathable and greatly increasing the risk of allergies, to the point that some have reported that the air is more polluted than in Beijing.
Some articles reported that 8 people died as a result of an allergic asthma attack during a storm in Melbourne, in the State of Victoria. This was caused by airborne pollen.
All these facts make Australians extremely sensitive to their immediate environment, and PHYTO-ELAN contributes with several products specifically produced with ingredients that are more respectful of people, and that are of natural origin. A degreasing cleaning product and a room air purifier based on essential oils. These products are alcohol-free, do not contain parabens nor phosphates, without phenolic derivatives and, of course, without synthetic dyes and perfumes.
They are free from CMR compounds (carcinogens, mutagens, reprotoxics) and without endocrine disruptors.
Many sectors of activity are concerned by the risks associated with CMR products. However, some sectors may present significant risks of exposure (this is a non-exhaustive and not prioritized list):
- construction and public works sector,
- railroads and shipbuilding,
- metallurgy, glass and metal industries,
- chemical and pharmaceutical industries,
- leather and rubber industries,
- oil industry,
- wood industry,
- research laboratories,
- services sector (maintenance, cleaning, and so forth).
More recently, PHYTO-ELAN has also established a presence in New Zealand.
